Souriya Kousonsavath obtained his Bachelor of Sciences Degree from the University of Manitoba in 1994. 

 He attended the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta and obtained his Bachelor of Laws Degree in 1997.  He was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 1998. 

 Souriya Kousonsavath has been practising law and working to serve clients from various backgrounds in Edmonton, and the surrounding areas including Beaumont, Breton, Drayton Valley, Leduc, St. Albert, Stony Plain, and Wetaskiwin.   

In his spare time, he enjoys travelling, working out and giving back to the community by volunteering with groups such as Edmonton Centre for Equal Justice, Meals on Wheels, and Law Day.
